Getting Started

ChIP-exo and ChIP-seq Services

The ChIP-exo and ChIP-seq services include chromatin fragmentation, performance of the ChIP-exo or ChIP-seq assay, next-gen sequencing, and standard bioinformatics analysis. ChIP-exo identifies protein binding sites across a genome down to near single base pair resolution, while ChIP-seq identifies sites to resolutions of 100-400 base pairs (bp). By combining a superior laboratory method with user-friendly bioinformatics analysis, we produce significantly improved results over other ChIP services in the market.

Assay services from Peconic provide researchers with:

Superior Resolution

ChIP-exo identifies protein binding sites to near base pair resolution and significantly reduces background noise

Easy-to-Use Bioinformatics

Standard bioinformatics analysis and data presentation in an easy-to-interpret and use format

Reduced Risk and Cost

Our technical expertise combined with competitive pricing reduces research risk and cost

ChIP-exo and ChIP-seq Services from Peconic

Peconic provides comprehensive ChIP-exo and ChIP-seq services to researchers interested in using the methodology to support their core research objectives:

Specific steps in our process include:
  1. Receipt of your frozen formaldehyde-cross-linked cell pellets and antibodies
  2. Chromatin fragmentation of your samples (includes DNA fragmentation check)
  3. ChIP of your samples
  4. ChIP-exo: exonuclease treatment and library construction; ChIP-seq: library construction
  5. Library gel check
  6. Deep sequencing of the library using the Illumina NextSeq 500 (paired-end)
  7. Mapping of the reads to a reference genome
  8. Peak calling, peak-pair matching, and other standard analyses - see Results for more details

Results are available 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of the samples.

How to Begin

Please fill out and submit an electronic sample submission form prior to sending samples, so that we may inspect it for completeness and errors. Complete submittal instructions will be provided with the form. To begin the process, please Contact Us.
